2D NMR spectroscopy tends to use quite a lot of spectrometer time but, on the other hand, usually produces results that are relatively easy for humans to interpret. Comparing labour costs and the cost of spectrometer time, usually 2D-NMR spectra are a good choice to save valuable, expensive labour time. There are a huge number of text books available presenting various practical 2D NMR problems. Most of the books are expensive and present a limited amount of static content.
